This one-off, dragon egg-shaped piece is made from the root system of an ancient Kauri tree that stood in Northland, New Zealand around 32,000 years ago. The timber comes from close to the termination point of one this giant tree’s roots. The textured skin within the void area has had an oxidised bronze finish worked into it, giving a subtle colour contrast to the oiled wood. This piece has no spinning bearings beneath it.
