I crafted this bowl in 1986, when I first began exhibiting. It’s a special piece, made from timber cut from the head of a Kauri tree that grew on the west coast of Northland before it was felled around 150 years ago. I named it after the storm-like grain patterns swirling around the circular branch wood towards the bottom edge of the bowl.
Dimensions: 530 × 100mm
Weight: 3.6kg
Finish: French polish
